When I was listening to the Beach Boys in the 60's, my mom commented that they sounded like the Hi-Lo's. I'd never heard of them, but concluded to myself that the Boys were so original that they could really sound like no one. A few years ago, I heard Brian Wilson say that he was influenced by the Hi-Lo's. OK, mom!

I am probably late to the game, but has anyone else heard the Take 6 tribute to Gene Puerling on their CD "The Standard" -- on the tune "Shall We Gather at the River"? Where do I go to surrender? Just beautiful stuff!
